Jerry Odom vs. Samuel Clarkson

Round 1

They come out of their respective corners slowly, pawing with their jabs. Odom misses a left hook but grazes him with a right uppercut on the inside, quickly establishing control. Clarkson pops him with a short right hand but Odom is unfazed and counters with a right of his own. Nice lead left from Clarkson in the southpaw stance, but Odom counters with a nice right of his own. Odom triples up the jab and then sticks him with a right to the gut. Clarkson rolls out a few jabs late, keeping the round close. Clarkson cracks him with a right uppercut/left hook after taking a hard right to the ribs. Very close round. 10-9 Odom.

Round 2

Odom rattles off a series of jabs but most of them either fall short or are blocked. Clarkson storms back with a nice right/left and then a right downstairs. Clarkson is expected by most to get bowled over but he’s taking it to Odom when he can. Odom fires off a three-punch combo to the head a minute in. Nice left/right to the ribs from Odom, followed by a left hook to the head. Odom lands a hard right and they exchange blows in the center of the ring briefly. Odom nails his foe with a right hand and then a straight left, snapping Clarkson’s head back. Clarkson backs into the ropes and then blasts him with a right hook. Odom’s legs wobble and he backs up. Clarkson can’t take him down as Odom survives. He’s cleared now and comes right after Clarkson, but when he misses his left hook, Clarkson drills him with a vicious right uppercut with five seconds left, flooring him. He’s up and hurt, but he’s saved by the bell. 10-8 Clarkson.

Round 3

Clarkson attacks Odom immediately, who is still wobbly. A right uppercut rocks him badly and Clarkson unloads. Another right drops Odom to his knees and gloves. He is up but he is in peril. Clarkson is all over him, pounding away with rights and lefts. Another sizzling right uppercut buckles his knees and down he goes. Odom climbs to his feet, hurt and dismayed. He bravely continues but Clarkson shoves two huge right uppercuts down Odom’s throat. He stumbles back, out on his feet and referee Shawn Clark dives in to rescue him.

Adam Lopez vs. Eliezer Aquino

Round 1

The bantamweights come out quickly, tossing jabs and body shots right away. They come together and Lopez drops him to his knee with a short right hook on the inside. It’s more of a flash knockdown as Aquino is up and seems unhurt. They come together and meet with their heads twice, but neither man is cut. Lopez is very calm and poised, control the hard-charging Dominican with his jab, movement and left hook. Aquino explodes with a loopy right hand and it stiffens Lopez but he quickly recovers. He lands another but Aquino backs off and regroups. 10-8 Lopez.

Round 2

Aquino continues to plug away with wild rights to the head and body. Lopez remains calm, looking to counter and control the distance. Aquino is super aggressive, trying to swarm the taller Texan. Aquino has some success with his loopy right hand, but Lopez is starting to time it now and is countering with the left. Lopez ducks under a wild right hand and digs a hard left to the body and then a right to the head. Lopez lands a nice left hook as Aquino misses a right, causing the shorter man to stumble back. Close round. 10-9 Lopez.

Round 3

Lopez’ corner tells him to remain calm, that Aquino is “just a wild, crazy man.” Lopez simply stares at his head coach. Aquino storms out of his corner like a wild man, winging hooks from everywhere. Most of them miss and Lopez makes him pay with shorter, more accurate shots. Aquino suckers him into a brawl and they trade leather along the ropes but Lopez gets the better of the exchange. Aquino comes right back at him after they split and tags him with a right hand over the top. Lopez is starting to turn more on his punches and is landing more powerful shots than in rounds two and three. Aquino continues to swarm him with telegraphed bombs, unrelenting in his pursuit. Lopez nails him with a beauty of a left hook at the bell. 10-9 Lopez.

Round 4

Lopez allows Aquino on the inside and then proceeds to crush his side with two nasty left hooks. Aquino backs off, regroups, and then charges right back in after him. Aquino is still aggressive but he is starting to slow down a little bit. Lopez moves to his side and pops him with a few jabs. Aquino has slowed considerably at the midway point and then eats a nice left hook. Aquino misses with a right/left, but his follow-up right lands on the cheek. Lopez comes right back with a left hook and then a right downstairs. Aquino pins him in the ropes and lands a few decent body shots but a lot of zip has been taken off his punches. Lopez wins it going away, easily his most dominant round thus far. 10-9 Lopez.

Round 5

Lopez causes his foe to stumble with a stiff jab as soon as the round starts. Aquino is still coming forward but he’s hardly throwing punches now. Aquino clinches when he’s on the inside, looking to regain some energy. Lopez nails him with a right cross behind the guard and it buckles Aquino’s knees. He stumbles to his right and regroups, but Lopez doesn’t chase him down. Another nice right hand is clean for Lopez, who has taken full custody of the fight. Nice jab from Lopez and then a left hook. They clash heads again when they clinch with 30 seconds left. Left hook from Lopez at the bell is blocked. 10-9 Lopez.

Round 6

Lopez remains in control with the jab, moving away from Aquino’s pressure. Aquino’s eyes are puffing up a little bit as he continues to miss and eats jabs. Lopez throws when he needs to, which is usually when Aquino charges in with his chin out. The action has slowed considerably with Lopez in control. 10-9 Lopez.

Round 7

Aquino comes out hard with some aggression, but Lopez nullifies with distance and his jab. Aquino seems to have found a second wind as he is winging power shots again. Aquino lands a nice left hook a minute in, but Lopez isn’t hurt. Lopez moves off the ropes and crushes the Dominican with a nasty left hook the liver. Aquino grimaces but stays upright. After a few moments, he swings away again. Aquino looks to his corner in frustration as he clinches with about a minute left. Lopez continues to jab away with some body shots mixed in. Aquino is slowing down again but he does get off a few wild shots at the bell. 10-9 Lopez.

Round 8

Aquino is exhausted between rounds and he looks ready to give up. He answers the bell but walks into a jab. His wild left and right miss and Lopez makes him pay with another jab. Aquino lands a nice right to the head but Lopez walks right through it. Aquino is ready to be taken as he is gassing out, but Lopez remains cautious with his distance. Aquino starts coming on after the midway point with a few nice rights and lefts, but his power is gone. Lopez is taking the round off and that allows Aquino to come alive. Aquino lands a terrific right hand that sends Lopez’ mouthpiece flying out. Very good round for Aquino as Lopez is starting to fade now. 10-9 Aquino.

Round 9

Aquino has more energy early on as he charges right after Lopez. They trade blows but Aquino suddenly looks fresher. A left hook causes Aquino to stumble into the ropes but he was more off-balance than anything. Lopez continues to move away with the jab, but Aquino is closing the gap. Double left to the head from Aquino midway and suddenly Lopez seems unwilling to engage. Aquino is all over his foe but he can’t get many of his shots to land. Lopez counters with a sizzling right hand and they trade bombs briefly. Good action late. 10-9 Aquino.

Round 10

Aquino likely needs a knockout in order to win this one. He comes right after Lopez, digging shots to the body and head. Lopez digs a right to the body and then makes Aquino miss a wild left hook. Lopez starts to open up and the action picks up a minute in. Aquino continues to swarm him and unloads punches from everywhere. They stand forehead-to-forehead but nothing devastating lands from either man. Hard right to the stomach from Lopez with a minute left. Aquino comes back with two upstairs, but they are blocked. Aquino closes the round by throwing caution to the wind, throwing everything he has at Lopez for 10 seconds. 10-9 Aquino.

Derrick Webster vs. Arif Magomedov

Round 1

Webster comes out right away with the jab from his lanky southpaw style. Magomedov is looking to get inside but can’t just yet. Webster is moving away from the charging Magomedov, pawing with the jab to stay clear. The Russian is very aggressive, pounding the body when he can. Magomedov forces Webster into the ropes and plugs away, tearing into the body. Webster can’t time his foe on the way in and then has to eat a part of Magomedov’s head as they clinch. Magomedov continues to swarm him with pressure to the body. They trade blows near the bell but Magomedov’s are the ones that land. 10-9 Magomedov.

Round 2

Magomedov comes right after him as soon as the round starts. Webster doesn’t appear too anxious to trade with him, moving away quickly. Magomedov lands a nice three-punch combo to the head, punctuated by a solid left. The left seems to have hurt Webster, who quickly retreats. Webster is starting to throw more punches but none of them are landing flush. Magomedov continues to come right after him, raking his body at every chance he gets. 10-9 Magomedov.

Round 3

Magomedov’s corner is ordering more body shots between rounds. Magomedov continues where he left off, coming right after the much taller American. Webster is hit behind the head and is complaining to referee Benjy Esteves, but the veteran third man instructs him to keep fighting because he turned away from Magomedov. Webster remains unwilling to trade, on his bike continually. Magomedov nails him with a nice right hand at the midway point. Magomedov lands a left upstairs and then follows it up with a flurry in the corner. Webster wants none of it and escapes out to his left. 10-9 Magomedov.

Round 4

Webster complains to his corner between rounds abut that punch to the back of his head, but his head trainer says, “Yeah, but you turned your head! That’s over now, forget about it.” Webster does not look as though he wants to be in there entering the fourth, where Magomedov comes right after him. Webster backs away and is tagged by a left hand, but it’s not terribly hard. Magomedov is relentless, coming after Webster over and over. Webster drills his foe with a nice right to the body and then a left; suddenly there is a spring in his step. Magomedov is following Webster around but he’s not cutting off the ring as well as he had been. Webster has some success with the jab this round. The American pops him with a slick left uppercut and then a left hook, both to the head. It likely won him the round. 10-9 Webster.

Round 5

Magomedov continues to chase after Webster, but he’s not quite as aggressive as he has been. Webster moves away, flicking his jab out when he can. Magomedov unfurls a nice right to the jaw but Webster takes it well. Webster rolls out to his left, tossing the jab out repeatedly. Magomedov charges in but he’s not letting his go as much now. Magomedov digs a hard right and left to the body late. Very close round. 10-9 Magomedov.

Round 6

Nice left to the body from Webster right away, but Magomedov counters with a harder left to the ribs. The action has slowed quite a bit, but Magomedov continues to come forward. He slams a few shots to the body and presses his foe into the ropes. Webster escapes to his left but he’s cracked by a right. Magomedov stalks him down and pins him in the ropes again. Magomedov digs some serious leather to the body and then head. Webster is able to withstand it all and fire back, but Magomedov has much more power. Nice left to the body. Another. Another shot to the body and then a left to the head from Magomedov. Webster is starting to wear down at the bell. 10-9 Magomedov.

Round 7

Webster is on his bike early. Magomedov is all over him and lands a sharp left to the head. Webster is rocked a little and darts out of there. Magomedov chases him down and plugs away, but Webster ties him up. Webster is tiring out big time now and wants nothing to do with the Russian. Webster is looking to find a clearing to regroup but he walks into the ropes. Nice right to the head followed by a left to the ear and Webster crumbles. He is worn out and hurt but he gets up. Magomedov lands a nice left hand but Webster remains afloat. Webster is hanging on and survives the round. 10-8 Magomedov.

Round 8

Webster is very cautious early, pawing with the jab. Magomedov is coming forward, but he’s looking for an opening. Hard overhand right by Magomedov comes over the missed uppercut. Webster backs into the ropes and eats a left, but he’s okay. Webster regroups and fires off a few jabs, but it doesn’t quite keep Magomedov away. Webster is totally on his bike in the final minute but Magomedov can’t cut the ring off. Magomedov lands a nice right hand late and then misses his two lefts at the bell. 10-9 Magomedov.

Round 9

Webster’s corner tells him that he needs to knock him out to win because he is way behind. Webster asks, “For real?” His corner continues to implore him to go for broke. Magomedov starts the round in typical fashion by coming right at him. They come together and Webster is down after a punch, but he clearly slipped. Esteves rules it a slip. Magomedov just comes right after him, throwing caution to the wind with his attacks. Magomedov swings wildly at the head now, gunning for a knockout. Webster is able to block most of his attacks but cann’t return any real danger. Nice left hook to the body and then to the head from Magomedov late. Right hand to the jaw staggers Webster at the bell. 10-9 Magomedov.

Round 10

Webster is a little more active early, throwing some combos to the head. Webster is stuffing some serious jabs out there now, keeping Magomedov away. They clinch repeatedly a minute in as Webster thwarts the Russian’s attacks. Hard loopy left hook from Magomedov at the midway point. Magomedov continues with the aggression as he lands a few decent left hands up top. Counter right hand to the mouth floors Webster onto his back near the ropes with 16 seconds left. He’s up and seems okay and is quickly saved from any further punishment as the bell ends the fight. 10-8 Magomedov.

Antoine Douglas vs. Istvan Szili

Round 1

Douglas jabs to start the round but Szili is pretty aggressive. Douglas backs into a corner and is forced to swing away, where they both land decent leather. Nice right hand to the head by Szili but he is countered by a left hook. Douglas pops him with two hard jabs and then a right cross over the gloves Szili keeps him in a corner for a short while but can’t land anything terrific before Douglas escapes. Hard counter left hook by Douglas over the right hand but the Hungarian take sit well. Douglas doubles the jab but then eats a left hook. Good opening round to this main event. 10-9 Douglas.

Round 2

Douglas’ corner keeps yelling at him to keep it in the middle of the ring, to stay off the ropes. Szili comes right out after him but can’t land anything hard. Douglas jabs him and then cracks him with the left. Douglas backs into a corner and then the ropes, where Szili has success with a right and left to the head. Douglas moves away but Szili continues to force his will onto the American. Szili keeps it close and Douglas seems to welcome the exchanges. Szili walks into a right uppercut as he storms inside, but he shakes it off. Douglas creates some space and pops him with the jab. Szili is relentless but is hit by a few right hands. Szili ducks low to throw a left but he is torched by right cross. Szili crumbles in a heap, face first. He might be out for good. He climbs to his knees and gets up at the count of nine. He continues but is saved by the bell. 10-8 Douglas.

Round 3

Szili comes right after Douglas, who meets him in the center of the ring. Douglas counters a right with a short left hook, dropping Szili. The Swiss resident gets back up but he is hurt. Douglas blasts him with another right hand and Szili falls onto his knees and then face. Referee Gary Rosato quickly waives it off, allowing the DC-based fighter to remain unbeaten.
