The Ultimate Fighting Championship has shuffled the deck on a pair of high-profile matchups.

“The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” coaches Chael Sonnen and Wanderlei Silva are now slated to collide on July 5 at UFC 175, UFC President Dana White told Yahoo Sports on Monday. As a result, the May 31 “TUF: Brazil” finale will be headlined by a heavyweight showdown between Junior dos Santos and Stipe Miocic that was initially expected to take place one week earlier at UFC 173.

Dos Santos’ clash with Miocic now takes place at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and airs live on Fox Sports 1. The week prior, UFC 173 will go down at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, while July’s UFC 175 will take place at the nearby Mandalay Bay Events Center.

A former three-time UFC title contender, Sonnen, 37, most recently competed last November, when he suffered a first-round technical knockout at the hands of ex-champ Rashad Evans. Silva, meanwhile, last stepped into the Octagon in March 2013, scoring a second-round stoppage of Brian Stann at UFC on Fuel TV 8.

Dos Santos was last seen in October, when he suffered a fifth-round stoppage defeat to Cain Velasquez in their heavyweight title rubber match at UFC 166. In Miocic, “Cigano” faces a once-beaten talent who enters the cage on the heels of two straight wins, most recently outpointing former title contender Gabriel Gonzaga this past January at UFC on Fox 10.
