Having each been eliminated in the opening round of Bellator’s Summer Series featherweight tournament, Genair da Silva and Adam Schindler are set to return to action against one another at Bellator Fighting Championships 52.

Marcio “Cromado” Barbosa, leader of Renovacao Fight Team and trainer of “Junior PQD” da Silva, revealed news of the matchup to Sherdog.com on Monday. The bout is the first known contest targeted for Bellator 52, which takes place Oct. 1 at L’Auberge du Lac Casino and Resort in Lake Charles, La.

Both men last competed June 25 at Bellator 46, where da Silva (Pictured) dropped a split decision to countryman and eventual runner-up Marlon Sandro, and Schindler suffered a brutal knockout at the hands of Ronnie Mann. Prior to losing his North American debut, da Silva had won five in a row with four finishes; Schindler’s defeat snapped a six-fight winning streak, during which the Texan had his hand raised in the cages of Bellator and Strikeforce.

Bellator 52 will mark the promotion’s second consecutive event with a Renovacao Fight Team representative. One week prior, Cromado will travel with pupil Luis “Betao” Nogueira to Ohio for Bellator 51, where Betao is slated to meet Ed West in the opening round of Bellator’s fifth-season bantamweight tourney.
