Unbeaten light heavyweight prospect Lorenz Larkin will lock horns with Nick Rossborough in the Strikeforce Challengers 19 main event on Sept. 23 at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, a source with ties to the situation informed Sherdog.com. Rossborough replaces Virgil Zwicker, who withdrew from the event with an injury.

Larkin (11-0, 2-0 SF) last appeared at Strikeforce Challengers 16 in June, when he defeated Gian Villante by unanimous decision. The 25-year-old Riverside, Calif., native has secured eight of his 11 professional victories by knockout or technical knockout, six of them inside one round. Nicknamed “The Monsoon,” Larkin has earned rave reviews for his striking prowess.

A Jeremy Horn protégé, Rossborough (18-13, 0-0 SF) will carry a three-fight winning streak into his promotional debut. The 29-year-old last fought on Sept. 9, when he submitted Hank Weiss with a second-round guillotine choke under the Steel Fist Fight Night banner in Salt Lake City. Wins over recent UFC signee Jorge Lopez, UFC veteran Chris Camozzi and journeyman Jason Guida anchor Rossborough’s resume. “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 7 alum has delivered more than half (11) of his 18 career victories by submission.
