The Legacy Fighting Championship 8 main event is now official, as headliners Jorge “Macaco” Patino and Pete Spratt hit their marks at Thursday’s weigh-ins.

Patino (Pictured, File Photo) tipped the scales at 165.5 pounds, while Spratt weighed in at 170 for their welterweight title headliner. The event goes down Friday from the Houston Arena Theater and will air live on HDNet at 10 p.m. ET.

In addition to the main event, the Texas-based promotion will also feature a middleweight title bout between Andrew Craig (185) and Eric Schambari (186), as well as a bantamweight contest pitting Steve Garcia (135) against Steven Peterson (136). Rounding out the main draw will be a light heavyweight tilt featuring Larry Crowe (186) and Ike Villanueva (185).

A 16-year MMA veteran, Patino began his career 11-1 fighting on the Brazilian vale tudo circuit before running into the highly regarded Jose Landi-Jons. After losing back-to-back bouts to “Pele,” Patino then challenged for Pat Miletich’s title at UFC 18, dropping a decision to the American. More recently, “Macaco” has split his last six contests. The 38-year-old Brazilian fell in his Strikeforce debut to Andre Galvao in August 2010 but would rebound the following April, submitting Cleburn Walker with a first-round neck crank.

Spratt, 40, has also split his last six bouts. Competing in Canada's Maximum Fighting Championship, Spratt has earned wins over fellow UFC veteran Luigi Fioravanti and Demi Deeds while falling to Eric Davila, Ryan Ford and Marcus Davis. Most recently, Spratt made a successfully Legacy FC debut on July 22, knocking out Antonio Flores in just 25 seconds at Legacy FC 7.
