Scottish lightweight Steven Ray will compete on home soil when he takes on Leonardo Mafra Texeira at UFC Fight Night in Glasgow on July 18.
Promotion officials recently announced the bout. The UFC Fight Night card takes place at SSE Hydro Arena in Glasgow and will likely air on Fight Pass. A headliner for the event has not been announced.
Ray, 25, made his Octagon debut on April 11, scoring a second-round knockout of Marcin Bandel at UFC Fight Night in Krakow, Poland. The former Cage Warriors Fighting Championship titlist is 17-5 as a professional, including 13 wins by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
After losses in his first two promotional appearances, Texeira picked up his first UFC triumph on March 21, when he captured a unanimous decision victory against Cain Carrizosa. The 26-year-old American Top Team product had fallen to Thiago de Oliveria Perpetuo and Rick Story in his first two Octagon outings.
