Fodor -- who trains under Matt Hume at AMC Martial Arts -- last appeared at an Alaska Fighting Championship event in February, when he submitted to a second-round armbar from Nate Hannah. The defeat snapped a five-fight winning streak for the 26-year-old Shoreline, Wash., native. Fodor has secured all five of his victories by first-round submission.
A protégé of former Strikeforce middleweight champion Cung Le, Diagne has not competed since he submitted to an inverted heel hook from Merritt Warren at Strikeforce Challengers 4 in November. The 26-year-old Frenchman made his professional debut in May 2009, when he outpointed Kaleo Kwon en route to a unanimous decision inside Strikeforce. Diagne was a six-time champion in San Shou.
A heavyweight duel pitting Shane del Rosario against Lolohea Mahe will headline Strikeforce Challengers 9, along with a women’s welterweight title match between defending champion Sarah Kaufman and Roxanne Modafferi.
