Ultimate Fighting Championship officials updated its event page for UFC 202 Wednesday afternoon, adding a welterweight showdown between Sultan Aliev and Hyun Gyu Lim.
After losing to Doug Marshall in the Bellator MMA cage in 2013, Russia’s Aliev rattled off four straight wins in smaller organizations, with all of his victories coming via knockout. His winning streak garnered him a contract with the UFC, but Aliev was unsuccessful in his Octagonal debut, losing via first-round knockout to Kenny Robertson at UFC on Fox 14 almost 18 months ago. He hasn’t fought since.
UFC 202 will take place on Aug. 20 in Las Vegas at the new T-Mobile Arena. The marquee is headlined by the rematch between reigning featherweight champion Conor McGregor and the man who submitted him at UFC 196, Nate Diaz.
