‘TUF 21’ Alum Sabah Homasi Replaces Strickland, Faces Means at UFC 202



“The Ultimate Fighter 21” cast member Sabah Homasi will meet Tim Means on short notice in a welterweight bout at UFC 202 on Aug. 20.

Homasi replaces original Means foe Sean Strickland, who withdrew from the contest due to a knee injury. MMAFighting.com first reported the new matchup. UFC 202 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a rematch between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor.

Homasi won his third straight fight on Friday, scoring a second-round knockout of Jorge Patino at Titan FC 40. The American Top Team product has won six of his last seven bouts and owns an 11-5 career mark overall. All but one of his victories have come inside the distance.

Means has lost just once in his last six Octagon appearances, a first-round submission defeat at the hands of Matt Brown at UFC 189. Most recently, “The Dirty Bird” knocked out John Howard in the second round at UFC Fight Night “Namajunas vs. VanZant on Dec. 10.
