More than a UFC contract will be at stake during the 24th season of “The Ultimate Fighter.”

The flyweight winner of the long-running reality show will receive a 125-pound title shot at the “TUF 24” finale at an as yet to be announced date in December, the Las Vegas-based promotion announced on Tuesday.

Tryouts for the upcoming season will take place on April 25 in Las Vegas and are open to all fighters from 21 to 34 years old who have winning professional records and at least three bouts’ experience. “TUF” 24 will premiere Aug. 31 on Fox Sports 1; coaches for the season have yet to be announced.

Reigning flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson is scheduled to defend his belt against Henry Cejudo at UFC 197 on April 23. “Mighty Mouse” is the only 125-pound king the organization has ever known, defending the title seven times since capturing gold with a split verdict over Joseph Benavidez at UFC 152.
