Jared Cannonier and Steve Bosse will meet in a light heavyweight bout at "The Ultimate Fighter 25” finale finale on July 7.
The promotion’s Canadian branch confirmed the matchup on Tuesday. The “TUF 25” finale takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will see the finalists of the long-running reality show square off in a featured bout. A headliner for the card has not been announced.
Cannonier established himself as a person of interest at 205 pounds with consecutive triumphs over Cyril Asker and Ion Cutelaba in 2016. However, a jump up in competition resulted in a decision loss to former title challenger Glover Teixeira in his last appearance at UFC 208. The 33-year-old Alaska native owns a 9-2 career mark, with seven triumphs coming inside the distance.
A former hockey enforcer at the semi-pro level, Bosse is coming off a knockout win over James Te Huna and a decision victory against Sean O’Connell in 2016. The Tristar Gym representative is 12-2 as a pro, including nine wins by knockout or technical knockout.
