A featherweight bout between Enrique Barzola and Kyle Bochniak has been added to the slate for UFC on Fox 21.
Ultimate Fighting Championship officials on Monday announced the 145-pound matchup, which will take place Aug. 27 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C.
Barzola made his Octagon debut as a lightweight in November, when he outpointed Horacio Gutierrez to win the second season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America.” The 27-year-old Peruvian, who trains under Ivan Iberico, holds a professional record of 11-2-1 with four wins via knockout and four by way of submission.
Bochniak, 29, made a short-notice UFC debut in January and was handed the first loss of his career in a unanimous decision against Charles Rosa. The Massachusetts native spent the last two years competing for CES MMA, opening his pro ledger with six straight wins, including three first-round finishes.
UFC on Fox 21 does not yet have a main event, though the nationally televised card will feature the 145-pound debut of former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, who takes on Charles Oliveira. A strawweight contest between “Dancing with the Stars” runner-up Paige VanZant and Australian Bec Rawlings has also been announced.
