‘TUF's’ Olivier Aubin-Mercier and Leonardo Santos do Battle at UFC 212 in Rio de Janeiro

Two “Ultimate Fighter” notables are now scheduled to square off.

“TUF: Nations” runner-up Olivier Aubin-Mercier will do battle with Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace Leonardo Santos, winner of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2” at UFC 212 on June 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The promotion announced the clash on Monday.

The 28-year-old Aubin-Mercier has won five of his last six, only dropping a unanimous decision to Carlos Diego Ferreira in January 2016. Beyond that loss, “The Quebec Kid” has racked up recent wins over Thibault Gouti and Drew Dober, taking both out via rear-naked choke.

Santos, 37, hasn't suffered a defeat since losing a split decision to Kazunori Yokota under the Sengoku banner in May 2009. Since then, the Nova Uniao product has remained undefeated in 11 bouts, his lone slip-up in the winning streak being a majority draw against Norman Parke in March 2014. Santos' winning streak includes victories over 155-pound notables Kevin Lee, Adriano Martins, and Efrain Escudero.

UFC 212 takes place at the Jeunesse Arena, previously the HSBC Arena, in Rio de Janeiro. The card is headlined by a UFC featherweight title bout between Jose Aldo and Max Holloway, and also features a showdown between rising prospect Kelvin Gastelum and MMA legend Anderson Silva.
