Tachi Palace Fights 27 Weigh-in Results: Both Title Fights Given Green Light

The Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, Calif. will be overflowing with violence Thursday night as another edition of TPF will take over the venue. Tachi Palace Fights 27 will be streamed live on Sherdog.com and a pair of title fights will anchor the marquee.

In the main event, TPF bantamweight champ Rolando Velasco will put his title on the line against UFC veteran Cody Gibson. At Wednesday’s weigh-ins, both combatants easily made the 135-pound limit, officially clearing the way for their scrap. Gibson stepped to the scale first and officially weighed 134.8 pounds. Not to be outdone, the defending champ came in four ounces lighter at 134.4.

The co-feature will see the vacant TPF featherweight title find a suitor as Andres Quintana and Adrian Diaz will lock horns. Just like the two featured fighters, both Quintana (144.8) and Diaz (144) made weight, giving their skirmish the green light.

As a side note, the bout between Art Hernandez and Salvador Perez has been scrapped.
