Tarec Saffiedine will remain on the UFC 207 card and face Dong Hyun Kim in a welterweight matchup.
Saffiedine was originally slated to face Matt Brown at the Dec. 30 event, but “The Immortal” was moved to a matchup with Donald Cerrone at UFC 206. The Las Vegas Review-Journal first reported the new matchup. UFC 207 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a bantamweight championship tilt between Amanda Nunes and Ronda Rousey.
Saffiedine last appeared at UFC Fight Night 88, where he dropped a unanimous verdict against Rick Story on May 29. The former Strikeforce champion is 2-2 during his tenure with the promotion and is 16-5 as a professional overall.
Kim was supposed to headline UFC Fight Night 99 in Belfast against Gunnar Nelson, but that contest was scrapped after Nelson suffered an ankle injury in training. “Stun Gun” has won six of his last seven fights in the Octagon, including back-to-back triumphs against Dominic Waters and Joshua Burkman.
