Tecia Torres will look to keep her perfect professional record intact when she faces former Invicta FC champion Michelle Waterson at UFC 194.
Ultimate Fighting Championship officials on Monday announced the strawweight matchup, set to take place Dec. 12 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. UFC 194 is topped by a featherweight title unification bout between longtime champ Jose Aldo and interim titlist Conor McGregor.
Torres, 26, boasts an official record of 6-0, though she was defeated by Randa Markos and Carla Esparza in exhibition bouts during the 20th season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Since then, the “Tiny Tornado” has won a pair of bouts inside the Octagon, earning unanimous decisions over castmates Angela Hill and Angela Magana.
Waterson, 29, won six straight bouts between 2010 and 2014 before losing her Invicta atomweight title to underdog Herica Tiburcio in December. The “Karate Hottie” made her UFC debut at July’s “TUF 21” finale, where she submitted Magana via third-round rear-naked choke.
