Thales Leites-Krzysztof Jotko Among Additions to UFC Fight Night 100 Lineup
Thales
Leites will try to build some momentum in the
Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight division when he
faces the once-beaten Krzysztof
Jotko at UFC
Fight Night “Gustafsson vs. Nogueira” on Nov. 19 in Sao Paulo,
Brazil. UFC officials on Monday announced the pairing, along with
several other matchups.
Leites snapped a two-fight losing streak at a UFC Fight Night event on Aug. 6 in Salt Lake City, where he submitted Chris Camozzi with a third-round rear-naked choke. The 34-year-old Nova Uniao-trained Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt has been finished only once in his 32-fight professional career: He was victimized by a Matt Horwich rear-naked choke in 2010. Wins over Jeremy Horn, Ed Herman, Francis Carmont, Tim Boetsch and former Pancrase champion Nate Marquardt anchor Leites’ extensive resume.
Jotko will enter the cage on a four-fight winning streak. The 27-year-old Pole last appeared at a UFC Fight Night event on June 18, when he needed just 59 seconds to cut down Tamdan McCrory with punches. Jotko has compiled a 5-1 record in the UFC, a May 2014 submission loss to Magnus Cedenblad his only misstep.
Other additions to the UFC Fight Night 100 lineup: Luis Henrique Barbosa de Oliveira vs. Christian Colombo, Manny Gamburyan vs. Johnny Eduardo, Matheus Nicolau Pereira vs. Yuta Sasaki, Gadzhimurad Antigulov vs. Marcos Rogerio de Lima and Michael Graves vs. Sergio Moraes.
