“The Ultimate Fighter isn’t going anywhere. We’re gonna keep going,” UFC President Dana White said in a post-fight scrum (video via MMAjunkie.com).
White doesn’t yet have a target date for the next season of “TUF,” but the show will continue as the promotion plans to open a new state-of-the-art production facility next year. The building, which is east of its main Las Vegas headquarters, is approximately 130,000 square feet, with 60,000 square feet allocated to an arena that can host fights for “TUF” as well as Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.
“TUF,” which helped drive the UFC into a new level of popularity when it debuted in 2005, will help the promotion provide content for ESPN and its streaming platform, ESPN+.
“The design of the new facility that we’re building has ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ in mind, too. We have the money for it, so that’s already done,” White said.
“It’s part of the money we have right now for content.”
