A welterweight clash pitting Thiago Alves against Zak Cummings will go down at UFC Fight Night 124 in St. Louis.
Additionally, James Krause will face Alex White, while Marco Polo Reyes will meet Matt Frevola in a pair of lightweight bouts at the Scottrade Center on Jan. 14. The Las Vegas-based promotion recently announced the three matchups. UFC Fight Night 124 is expected to be televised on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
Alves last appeared at UFC 210, where he ended a two-fight skid with a unanimous decision win over Patrick Cote. Cummings has been victorious in four of his last five Octagon outings, including a first-round submission of Nathan Coy at UFC on Fox 24 on April 15.
Krause is currently on a three-fight winning streak, with successive UFC triumphs against Tom Gallicchio, Shane Campbell and Daron Cruickshank to his credit. White went 1-1 in 2017 and is coming off a second-round TKO of Mitch Clarke at UFC 215.
Reyes saw a four-bout winning streak come to an end at UFC 211, where he suffered a first-round TKO defeat to James Vick. Frevola enters his promotional debut with a 6-0 mark that includes a second-round submission of Jose Flores at Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series 8 on Aug. 29.
