Thomas Almeida vs. Rob Font, Calvin Kattar vs. Shane Burgos Confirmed for UFC 220

UFC 220 has its first two bouts, as Thomas Almeida will meet Rob Font at bantamweight and Calvin Kattar will face Shane Burgos at featherweight.

The pairings were confirmed to Sherdog.com by Top Game Management, which represents Font and Kattar. UFC 220 takes place at TD Garden in Boston on Jan. 20. The pay-per-view event does not yet have a headliner.

The 26-year-old Almeida began his pro career with 20 straight victories but has since dropped two of his last three UFC appearances. Most recently, the Brazilian dropped a unanimous decision to Jimmie Rivera at UFC on Fox 25 on July 22.

Font had a two-fight winning streak snapped at UFC Fight Night 119, where he was submitted in the opening round by Pedro Munhoz. The Boston native is 4-2 during his promotional tenure and 14-3 as a professional overall.

Kattar improved to 17-2 overall with a three-round verdict over Andre Fili in his Octagon debut at UFC 214. Burgos, meanwhile, owns a 10-0 mark that includes three UFC triumphs.
