Ticket Prices Revealed for UFC 229 Card Headlined by Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor

The UFC is billing the lightweight championship bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor as the biggest fight in promotion history, and the ticket prices reflect that boast.

According to a release, the cheapest ticket for UFC 229 will be $205 (not including fees), while the most expensive is $2,505. The other available seats are priced as follows: $2,005, $1,505, $1,005, $755, $555, $405, $355, $305 and $255. Tickets will go on sale Aug. 17 at 1 p.m. ET/10 p.m. PT and are available for purchase online at www.axs.com.

UFC 229 takes place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Oct. 6 and will see Derrick Lewis take on Alexander Volkov in the heavyweight co-main event. The card also includes a pivotal flyweight clash between contenders Sergio Pettis and Jussier da Silva as well as a light heavyweight showdown pitting Ovince St. Preux against Dominick Reyes.

The prices are significantly higher than McGregor’s last appearance in Sin City, when he faced Nate Diaz in a rematch at UFC 202. For that card, the most expensive seat was $1,265, while the cheapest went for $215.

The rivalry between Nurmagomedov and McGregor reached a new level in April when the Irishman threw a dolly through the window of a bus carrying the Dagestani champion two days prior to UFC 223. The attack was presumably in retaliation for a confrontation between Nurmagomedov and Artem Lobov, McGregor’s SBG Ireland teammate, earlier that week.

McGregor has established himself as the biggest star within the Las Vegas-based promotion, with his last few headlining bouts drawing in excess of 1 million pay-per-view buys. While the “Notorious” one has been away from the Octagon since 2016, he raised his profile even further by squaring off with Floyd Mayweather in a boxing match in August 2017.

Nurmagomedov is expected to be McGregor’s most difficult test in the UFC due to his strong wrestling base. “The Eagle” has compiled a 26-0 record that includes wins over Al Iaquinta, Edson Barboza, Michael Johnson, Gleison Tibau and Rafael dos Anjos, to name a few.
