Titan FC 38 Weigh-in Results: Carl, Muhammad Cleared for Title Tilt

Titan Fighting Championships will be invading fight fans’ homes on Saturday night once again with another edition of mixed martial arts action. Titan FC 38 will go down inside the Miccosukee Casino in Miami, Flaorida, with a main event between Steve Carl and Belal Muhammad.

Titan FC 38 will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT. At Friday’s weigh-ins, most of the main card fighters were able to make weight, thus giving the go-ahead for the event.

Former World Series of Fighting welterweight champion Steve Carl is on a mission to regain another title after losing it to Rousimar Palhares via heel hook more than two years ago. Carl, who is also a former Bellator MMA vet and was a cast member of TUF 21, tipped the scale for his five-round main event battle at 169.5 pounds.

Muhammad, an unbeaten prospect from Chicago, has looked superb thus far in his still-blossoming career. His grinding style has allowed him to topple steadily-increasing levels on competition and he looked as ready as ever on the scale. Muhammad officially weighed in at 169.5 pounds as well.

Pedro Nobre was to meet Sid Bice in a flyweight battle for the right to fight Tim Elliott for the Titan FC 125-pound title. While Bice came in right at 125 pounds, Nobre missed badly; he checked in at 129. He was fined 30 percent of his purse and lost his shot at facing Elliott for the title if he wins, according to officials from Titan FC.
