Midwestern mixed martial arts promotion Titan Fighting Championship has canceled its Dec. 18 event.

The news was revealed on Titan FC’s Twitter account on Wednesday. Titan FC 36 was scheduled to take place at the Kansas City Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo., and was to be headlined by a flyweight championship showdown between Tim Elliott and Pedro Nobre. The event was going to air in its entirety on UFC Fight Pass.

“Titan FC CEO will address the fighters and the fans as soon as he is physically able to,” read a tweet from the promotion’s Twitter account.

The organization’s last event, Titan FC 35, took place on Sept. 19 in Ridgefield, Wash., and saw Rick Hawn defeat Pat Healy in a lightweight championship bout. It was the promotion’s first card to stream on UFC Fight Pass. Titan FC has held 35 events since its inception in March 2006.
