Mamed Khalidov has a new opponent for the KSW 29 main event, as the Polish standout will square off with former Bellator middleweight title challenger Brett Cooper on Dec. 6.

KSW announced the change via press release after Khalidov’s original foe, Tomasz Drwal, withdrew from the bout with a “spine injury.” KSW 29 takes place at Krakow Arena in Krakow, Poland, and also includes a heavyweight bout between Mariuz Pudzianowski and Pawel Nastula. The card will stream live on KSWTV.com via pay-per-view.

A 12-time Bellator MMA veteran, Cooper has lost three of his last four professional outings. He last appeared at Bellator 122 on July 25, submitting to a first-round armbar against Brandon Halsey. “Fudoshin” notably challenged for the promotion’s 185-pound title in 2013, dropping a five-round verdict to then champion Alexander Shlemenko.

Khalidov, meanwhile, has won nine straight fights, including an opening-round submission triumph over Maiquel Jose Falcao Goncalves in his most recent bout at KSW 27.
