Tony Ferguson Blasts Nurmagomedov For Considering Boxing Match With Floyd Mayweather
It should come as no surprise that Tony Ferguson is not a fan of Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight king Khabib Nurmagomedov’s recent flirtations with boxing.

Those comments didn’t go down too well with Ferguson, who is eager to get another shot at the 155-pound belt after being stripped of his interim title at UFC 223 in April. “El Cucuy” wasted no time in letting his feelings known on Twitter.
“Tried to be nice but you’re still my b–ch,” Ferguson wrote. “KhabibNurmagomedov check it out — you couldn’t box your way out of a paper bag. I see you and the team working on that footwork. Running from a much needed ass whoopin’. Keep swimming shrimp. The fans like me better. I’m the champ, chump.”

Nurmagomedov didn’t respond but that didn’t stop his manager Ali Abdelaziz offering his two cents on the callout in a pair of tweets that, while backhanded in their praise, were surprisingly conciliatory for the normally-combative Abdelaziz:
Khabib doesn’t get much opportunities and my honest opinion stylistically you’re one of the easiest fights in the top 6 but not taking anything away from your heart because you have a big one my man. Hope you’re enjoying the holidays
