Tony Ferguson Shares Graphic Image of Knee Surgery
While
UFC 223 was certainly a memorable event, don’t expect Tony
Ferguson to look back at it with fond memories.
The interim Ultimate Fighting Championship lightweight ace had been scheduled to face Khabib Nurmagomedov for the undisputed lightweight title. It was the fourth time UFC officials have scheduled these two to face each other and once again it didn’t happen.
Ferguson had to withdraw from the fight due to a freak incident when he tripped over a cable during a promotional shoot a week out from the event. The injury was serious enough to force him off the card as he tore a ligament in his knee.
The former interim champion shared his post-surgery scars on Twitter:
