A back injury has forced Matt Wiman to withdraw from his scheduled clash with Leonardo Santos at UFC Fight Night "Maia vs. LaFlare."

As a result, Tony Martin will replace Wiman and face Santos on the March 21 card. The UFC announced the change on Wednesday evening. The event takes place at Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro and is headlined by a welterweight clash between Demian Maia and Ryan LaFlare.

Martin fell to Rashid Magomedov and Beneil Dariush in his first two Octagon appearances but bounced back to submit Fabricio Camoes in his most recent outing at UFC 179. The American Top Team product has finished seven of his nine career triumphs by way of submission.

Santos is 2-0-1 since joining the Las Vegas-based promotion in 2013, earning triumphs over William Macario and Efrain Escudero and battling Norman Parke to a draw.

Wiman returned to action following a nearly two-year hiatus at UFC Fight Night “Edgar vs. Swanson,” where he took a hard-fought unanimous decision triumph against Isaac Vallie-Flagg.
