Top 10: Fighters with the Most Fight Bonuses

When you enter the octagon on the highest level with a skilled opponent across from you, no additional motivation is needed than trying not to get severely injured or humiliated, but Ultimate Fighting Championship (online betting) still managed to do something amazing by adding performance bonuses to events.

Fighters already earn quite a bit of money, but adding that sensation that a single strike can earn you an additional $50,000 or more, that you can basically be crowned the champion of the night, giving you a kind of supremacy over the other fighters without having to fight them, surely guarantees for an even bigger adrenaline surge. So the discontinuation of Knockout of the Night and Submission of the Night doesn't make sense. But one of the two remaining awards - Fight of the Night is the most genius of them all because it guarantees that fighting like a lion pays off even in a loss, so that brings more enjoyable, crowd-pleasing bouts, and less strategic and uneventful ones.

Becoming the crowd's favorite is in direct correlation with the number of bonuses got, the moves that get rewarded are those ones that bring spectators in the venue and augment the pay-per-view revenues. So you know that you'll find some of your favorite warriors in this list of fighters with the most bonuses.

Joe Lauzon (14 Bonus Awards)

Lauzon has won post-fight bonuses in nine of his last 14 bouts, the last one coming at UFC 200 against Diego Sanchez after a first round knockout. Thanks to his superior grappling skills he has won the most Submission of the Night bonuses in the UFC - 6, and his tenacity gave him the same of amount of Fight of the Night bonuses.

Nate Diaz (14 Bonus Awards)

Diaz shares the throne with Lauzon, and won't be happy that the Submission of the Night award has been discontinued either, as he has accumulated five of them. With a fight against Conor McGregor upcoming in UFC 202, we predict another Fight of the Night award for him.

Anderson Silva (13 Bonus Awards)

The average UFC fan and Anderson Silva have one thing in common - they both hate it that Knockout of the Night award has been discontinued, as the Brazilian Legend had 7 of them, more than half of his total awards among which there isn't a single Performance of the Night award.

Donald Cerrone (12 Bonus Awards)

The busiest fighter in the UFC (with at least 4 bouts per year since 2013) has managed to have the most balanced award collection, as he had a few of each. The last one was one mid-June when a bout with Patrick Cote earned him a POTN award.

Chris Lytle (10 Bonus Awards)

The only retired fighter with more than 7 awards is the first man to combine all four of the prestigious bonuses. But Fight of the Night brought him the most money as he has won it six times.

Frankie Edgar (10 Bonus Awards)

One of only three fighters from this victorious bunch that has won the Fight of the Night award a whopping seven times, an achievement that makes this former UFC lightweight champion a must see in all his fights.

Charles Oliveira (9 Bonus Awards)

Submissions are the main weapon of this fighter from Brazil, and that's how most of his bonuses are earned, as he has won three Submission of the Night awards, and not one Knockout of the Night.

Clay Guida (9 Bonus Awards)

When you see Clay Guida's name on a card for the fight, make sure that you'll be watching it as he has six Fight of the Night awards, which is a guarantee for some prime time UFC entertainment.

Lyota Machida (8 Bonus Awards)

Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion is a thrill to watch as he has gathered four Knockout of the Night awards, the most notable one against Randy Couture which earned him a Sherdog Knockout of the Year award in 2011.

Diego Sanchez (7 Bonus Awards)

Several fighters have accumulated seven Bonus Awards, but we choose Diego Sanchez to represent them, as he is the only one that has seven Fight of the Night bonuses! Conor McGregor is also a notable member of the 7 club, as he has the most Performance of the Night rewards out of all fighters - five! All the other members are - Sam Stout, Edson Barboza, Wanderlei Silva, Carlos Condit, Mauricio Rua, Jon Jones, Jim Miller, Thiago Tavares, Ronda Rousey, Tony Ferguson, and Anthony Johnson.
