Bellator MMA has rounded out its slate to 18 fights for its next show.
The additional three fights – all on the prelims, with the bout order still to be decided – include a few undefeated fighters and a couple other company veterans. The top-billed fight of the three comes at the featherweight division, as former Division II wrestling champ Cody Law (7-2) engages with Jefferson Pontes (6-0). The other two bouts come at welterweight and 145 pounds, respectively, when Ramazan Kuramagomedov (11-0) fights Randall Wallace (20-9-1) and Yves Landu (19-9) collides with Isao Kobayashi (27-5-2).
Law has spent the entirety of his career under the Bellator banner, which began in 2020 against Orlando Ortega – resulting in a first-round submission for his pro debut. Six straight wins propelled the American Top Team prospect to a match against James Gonzalez in 2022, and the wrestler fell short on the scorecards. In his bounce back effort later that year, Law lost again by decision, this time to Cris Lencioni. Law ended his skid in June by procuring a victory over Edwin Chavez.
Pontes will be making his organizational debut at this event, in what will be his first match in over a year. The Brazilian entered the sport a year before Law, and an early stoppage put him on the right track. With four stoppages across his six wins, he has seen half of his pro triumphs come in the opening round.
