A pair of bouts have been added to the UFC Fight Night 112 card, including one pairing that fell through at UFC 211.
Promotion officials recently announced that a featherweight duel between Jared Gordon and Michel Quinones that was originally scheduled for UFC 211 has been rebooked for UFC Fight Night 112. Additionally, a light heavyweight showdown between Azamat Murzakanov and Joachim Christensen has also been confirmed for the June 25 card.
UFC Fight Night 112 takes place at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City and is headlined by a lightweight clash between Michael Chiesa and Kevin Lee. The even airs on Fox Sports 1 following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass.
Gordon suffered from food poisoning prior to his UFC 211 encounter with Quinones, resulting in a last-minute cancellation of the bout. Gordon, who as discovered on the reality series “Dana White: Lookin’ for a Fight,” has won 12 of his first 13 professional appearances. Quinones enters the contest on a five-fight winning streak and is 8-1 as a pro overall.
Murzakanov enters his Octagon debut with a 7-0 mark, including five triumphs by knockout or technical knockout. Christensen has lost two of his first three promotional outings, including a first-round submission defeat against Gadzhimurad Antigulov at UFC 211.
