One Fighting Championship announced Friday that it will host a massive event on May 6 featuring two championship bouts at Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The card, entitled One Championship 41 "Ascent to Power," is headlined by a middleweight title clash between reigning champion Vitaly Bigdash and Aleksei Butorin. Also slated for the bill will be an intriguing battle between local fighter Angela Lee and Mei Yamaguchi for the inaugural One women’s atomweight title.
“Finally, we’re home in Singapore, and I know a lot of our fans here have been waiting a long time for our return,” stated One Championship CEO Victor Cui. “As usual, we have a fantastic night of world-class mixed martial arts action planned for all the fans in attendance. Expect to be at the edge of your seats as we bring you two big title fights featuring our top One athletes.”
Addtionally, former One featherweight champ Narantungalag Jadambaa will make his return to the promotion when he faces Kotetsu Boku. Roger Gracie will square off against unbeaten fellow middleweight Michal Pasternak, and Sylvain Potard will lock horns with Tatsuya Mizuno.
Three other contests were recently announced, as Christian Lee takes on Cary Bullos at featherweight; Benedict Ang faces Jimmy Yabo; and Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev meets Jia Wen Ma.
One Championship is expected to announce additional matches in the coming days.
