Two-division Titan FC champion Jose Torres will replace the injured Hector Sandoval and face Jarred Brooks at UFC Fight Night 131 in Utica, N.Y.
The 25-year-old Torres enters his first promotional foray with a 7-0 record. “Shorty” was a champion at 135 and 125 pounds in Titan FC and is coming off a first-round knockout of Alberto Orellano in a flyweight title defense on Feb. 16.
Brooks began his career with 13 consecutive victories, including a split verdict against Eric Shelton at UFC 214. However, “The Monkey God” suffered his first career defeat in his most recent outing, as he dropped a split decision against Deiveson Figueiredo at UFC Fight Night 118 on Oct. 28.
