Two UFC
106 preliminary bouts will air live on Spike TV Nov. 21 at 9:00
p.m. ET/PT during a one-hour, commercial-free broadcast prior to
the event’s pay-per-view.
Kendall Grove will meet Jake Rosholt in a middleweight bout, while welterweights Marcus Davis and Ben Saunders will face off live from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
The 6-foot-6 Grove, a winner of “The Ultimate Fighter 3,” will look to rebound from his decision loss to Ricardo Almeida at UFC 101 last August in Philadelphia. Rosholt, a four-time All-American and three-time NCAA Division I National wrestling champion, earned a third-round submission victory over Chris Leben at UFC 102 in September.
Former pro boxer Davis dropped a close split decision loss to Dan Hardy at UFC 99 last June in Cologne, Germany. American Top Team’s Saunders faded against Mike Swick’s second-round strikes on the same card.
