Saturday’s airing of “UFC 108 Prelims Live” garnered an average of 1.5 million viewers, according to Spike TV, making it the highest rated show of its kind to date.

During the one-hour episode, Martin Kampmann submitted Jacob Volkmann in a spirited welterweight contest and lightweight Cole Miller submitted Dan Lauzon with a first-round kimura. Two additional UFC 108 bouts were broadcast as well.

“UFC 108 Prelims” drew a 1.3 household rating in the males 18-49 demographic and a 1.4 for males 18-34, which was on par with previous episodes. Previous “Prelims Live” shows have drawn an average of 1.3 to 1.4 million viewers and a 1.0 household rating overall.
