Three competitors have been scratched from the UFC's return to Brazil in 2012, promotion officials announced Friday.
According to the UFC's announcement, Stanislav Nedkov, Rob Broughton and Siyar Bahadurzada have all been pulled from the card due to injury. Replacements have yet to be determined.

Nedkov, 30, was supposed to square off with Fabiano Maldonado at the event. The 12-fight pro made his Octagon debut during the UFC's last trip to Rio de Janeiro, knocking out Luiz Cane at UFC 134 in August. The Bulgarian is also a two-time Sengoku veteran, earning victories over Kevin Randleman and Travis Wiuff during his time with the Japanese organization.
Broughton has stumbled in his last two outings, dropping decisions to Travis Browne and Philip De Fries in 2011. Widely regarded as one of England's best heavyweights, “The Bear” has finished 12 of his 15 career victims by knockout or submission. Broughton was scheduled to face Brazilian prospect Edinaldo Oliveira at UFC 142 before injury struck.
One of the most aggressive fighters in the sport, Bahadurzada would have made his UFC debut against Erick Silva at the Jan. 14 event. The 27-year-old Golden Glory representative has not lost since submitting to a Jorge Santiago heel hook in 2008. Since that defeat, Bahadurzada has rattled off six straight wins, most recently knocking out Tommy Depret on May 28.
