The UFC 146 preliminary card attracted an average of 1.3 million viewers to its Saturday night broadcast on cable network FX.

Sherdog.com confirmed the viewership figure Wednesday with an industry source. The number did not match the promotion’s previous preliminary effort on FX, in which 1.6 million viewers tuned in for the UFC 145 undercard on April 21.

UFC 146 took place May 26 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and saw Junior dos Santos knock out Frank Mir to retain his heavyweight championship in the evening’s main event. The seven-fight undercard immediately preceded the main draw’s pay-per-view broadcast.

Four of the seven preliminary bouts were shown on FX, including Dan Hardy’s devastating knockout of veteran Duane Ludwig. Jamie Varner also made a statement during the undercard broadcast, as the former World Extreme Cagefighting lightweight king upset the favored Edson Barboza in a first-round finish. Both Darren Elkins and C.B. Dollaway also emerged victorious during the telecast, outpointing Diego Brandao and Jason Miller, respectively.
