Bantamweight Yves Jabouin will get to fight on home soil next time he enters the Octagon.
Jabouin trains alongside GSP and co-main-eventer Rory MacDonald at Montreal’s Tristar Gym. Against Eduardo, the 33-year-old “Tiger” will look to rebound from a first-round knockout at the hands of Brad Pickett last September. The loss snapped a three-fight winning streak for Jabouin, who had earned consecutive decision victories over Ian Loveland, Walel Watson and Jeff Hougland.
A member of Rio de Janeiro’s acclaimed Nova Uniao camp, Eduardo has gone 1-1 in his first two UFC outings. After a decision loss to countryman Raphael Assuncao in 2011, Eduardo managed only one fight in 2012, a May outpointing of Jeff Curran.
