UFC 160 Tabbed for MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 25
The Ultimate Fighting Championship has requested a date and a venue for its traditional Memorial Day weekend card.
Nevada Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer informed Sherdog.com on Monday that the promotion has asked permission to use the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 25 for UFC 160, a pay-per-view event that will likely feature 12 bouts. No fights have been formally announced for the event.
The UFC has traditionally held a fight card on or around the Memorial Day weekend since 2006, usually at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. In 2012, UFC 146 took place on May 26 and featured an all-heavyweight main card, including a title fight between Junior dos Santos and Frank Mir.
