The Ultimate Fighting Championship will return to Milwaukee’s Bradley Center on Aug. 31, UFC President Dana White announced Thursday.
The UFC previously visited Milwaukee in August 2011 for UFC Live 5, which saw Chris Lytle end his long career with a third-round submission of British talent Dan Hardy. The show also featured a pair of then-pivotal lightweight confrontations, as future champion Benson Henderson outpointed Jim Miller and Donald Cerrone stopped Charles Oliveira. UFC Live 5 was attended by 6,751 spectators, who produced a live gate of $539,000.
Opened in 1988, the Bradley Center currently plays host to the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association and the Marquette University men’s basketball team, as well as the Arena Football League’s Milwaukee Mustangs.
