Darrell Montague and Will Campuzano will square off in a flyweight showdown at UFC 171.
UFC officials Wednesday revealed the booking, which takes place March 15 from the American Airlines Arena in Dallas and is headlined by a welterweight title showdown between Johny Hendricks and Robbie Lawler. The pay-per-view event will also see Carlos Condit collide with Tyron Woodley in another pivotal 170-pound affair.
Montague, 26, has won 10 of his last 12 bouts but saw a four-fight winning streak halted in his Octagon debut, in which he was knocked out by John Dodson this past October at UFC 166. The former Tachi Palace Fights flyweight ruler has earned 10 of his 13 career victories via stoppage and has only been submitted once in five years as a pro.
A former Legacy Fighting Championship titlist, Campuzano rode a five-fight winning streak into his UFC return but suffered a unanimous decision loss to unbeaten prospect Sergio Pettis at UFC 167. The 27-year old previously completed a two-fight Octagon stint as a bantamweight from 2010 to 2011, dropping bouts to Nick Pace and Chris Cariaso before receiving his promotional release.
