Demetrious Johnson will next defend his flyweight title at UFC 174 against Ali Bagautinov, UFC officials announced Wednesday.
Johnson, 27, has not lost since making the drop to flyweight in 2012, capturing the vacant UFC title and then defending the belt successfully three times. “Mighty Mouse” most recently put his title on the line last December, knocking out Joseph Benavidez in just 2:08 at UFC on Fox 9.
Bagautinov, meanwhile, has not lost in nearly three years. The hard-hitting Dagestani joined the UFC last September and picked up three victories to earn his crack at the title, knocking out Marcos Vinicius Borges Pancini before outpointing Tim Elliott and John Lineker.
