Yancy Medeiros and Justin Edwards, two lightweights seeking a return to the win column, have been matched for UFC 177.

The 155-pound bout was announced Monday by Ultimate Fighting Championship officials. Set for Aug. 30 at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, Calif., UFC 177 will be headlined by a UFC bantamweight title tilt between newly crowned king T.J. Dillashaw and former champ Renan Barao.

Medeiros, 26, is still looking for his first official win inside the Octagon, as the Hawaiian saw his November 2013 knockout of Yves Edwards overturned after testing positive for marijuana metabolites. “The Kid” last saw action in April, when he was choked out by an arm-in guillotine from Jim Miller at UFC 172.

Edwards, 31, holds a 2-4 record in the UFC and will look to halt a two-fight losing skid when he meets Medeiros. In his most recent outing, the Jorge Gurgel purple belt suffered a decision loss to onetime “The Ultimate Fighter 13” teammate Ramsey Nijem.
