UFC 179 “Aldo vs. Mendes 2” -- which airs live on pay-per-view at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT -- will also feature a light heavyweight clash pairing Blackzilians representative Hans Stringer (206) with Fabio Maldonado (205), a featherweight tilt pitting Chute Boxe’s Lucas Martins (146) against Darren Elkins (145) and a lightweight battle matching undefeated former Legacy Fighting Championship titleholder Carlos Diego Ferreira (156) with Beneil Dariush (156).
Two hours prior, Fox Sports 1 will carry four preliminary bouts: Neil Magny (171) vs. William Macario (170), Yan Cabral (156) vs. Naoyuki Kotani (155), Scott Jorgensen (*128) vs. Wilson Reis (125) and Andre Fili (146) vs. Felipe Arantes (146). The two remaining undercard matchups will stream to UFC Fight Pass at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT, as the unbeaten Gilbert Burns (155) meets Christos Giagos (156) and American Top Team’s Tony Martin (*157) faces Fabricio Camoes (*158).
