Jon Jones, Daniel Cormier, Paul Felder and Shawn Jordan earned $50,000 bonuses for their performances at UFC 182 on Saturday.
The first pay-per-view card of 2015 was held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The event’s eagerly anticipated main event pitting Jones against Cormier lived up to expectations, receiving the label of “Fight of the Night” and earning both men an additional $50,000. Neither competitor was able to garner a finish over the course of 25 minutes, but in the end it was “Bones” who was on the receiving end of a unanimous, 49-46 judges’ decision. The win is Jones’ 12th consecutive victory and also amounts to the first loss of Cormier’s career.

Earlier in the evening, Felder earned “Performance of the Night” honors for a spinning back fist knockout of Danny Castillo. “The Irish Dragon” imposed his will from the outset before landing the bout-ending maneuver at 2:09 of the second round. The win is Felder’s second in as many tries under the UFC banner, while Castillo has now lost three of his last four.
Jordan finished Jared Cannonier with punches in the first round of their heavyweight fight on Fox Sports 1, earning a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus. An overhand right from Jordan dropped “The Killa Gorilla,” and the former Louisiana State University football player followed with punches, forcing the hand of referee John McCarthy.
