Returning former middleweight champion Anderson Silva took home a disclosed $800,000 paycheck for his victory in the main event of UFC 183.
Silva earned a five-round unanimous decision over Nick Diaz on Saturday at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Diaz pocketed $500,000 in defeat, according to figures released to Sherdog.com on Monday by the Nevada Athletic Commission.
Co-main event winner Tyron Woodley banked $139,000 for his three-round decision over Kelvin Gastelum ($21,000). Woodley’s total included a $9,000 fine taken from the purse of Gastelum, who weighed in at 180 pounds for the 170-pound affair.
Other top earners on the card included welterweight Thiago Alves ($84,000), women’s bantamweight Miesha Tate ($76,000) and middleweight Rafael Natal ($58,000).
