Dennis Bermudez will square off with Jeremy Stephens in a featherweight clash at UFC 189.
The Las Vegas-based promotion recently announced the matchup. UFC 189 takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a pair of title tilts, as Jose Aldo defends his 145-pound strap against Conor McGregor, while Robbie Lawler takes on Rory MacDonald in a welterweight championship scrap.
Bermudez saw a seven-fight winning streak come to an end in his most recent outing at UFC 180, where he submitted to a Ricardo Lamas guillotine choke 3:18 into the opening stanza. “The Menace” owns triumphs over the likes of Clay Guida, Jim Hettes, Steven Siler and Max Holloway.
Stephens, meanwhile, has fallen to Cub Swanson and Charles Oliveira in his last two promotional appearances. Prior to that, the Alliance MMA representative began his featherweight tenure in the UFC with three consecutive victories.
