Demetrious Johnson continued to prove that he is one the sport’s pound-for-pound best performers at UFC 191, but that didn’t mean he topped Saturday’s payroll.

“Mighty Mouse” garnered $191,000 for his dominant five-round verdict over John Dodson ($60,000) in the UFC 191 headliner at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, according to salary figures released by the Nevada Athletic Commission on Tuesday. Three fighters – Andrei Arlovski ($225,000), Frank Mir ($200,000) and Anthony Johnson ($230,000) -- took home more than the reigning flyweight king.

Arlovski earned his fourth straight Octagon triumph with a unanimous decision over Mir in the evening’s co-main event. Neither heavyweight was scheduled to receive a win bonus. Meanwhile, Johnson garnered the night’s biggest paycheck for his second-round knockout of Jimi Manuwa ($24,000) in a light heavyweight affair.

The card’s other high earner was 17-time Octagon veteran Ross Pearson, who pocketed $90,000 for a hard-fought split decision triumph over Paul Felder ($18,000) in a featured preliminary scrap.

Note: The disclosed purses reported by state athletic commissions do not include any performance-based or discretionary bonuses that may be awarded to a fighter by the promotion. Additionally, the reported figures do not reflect any deductions made by the commission for taxes, insurance, etc., and do not include any sponsorship money that a fighter may acquire for their performance.
