UFC 196 Update: Ovince St. Preux to Face Rafael Cavalcante in Las Vegas

The light heavyweight bout was announced during Wednesday’s edition of UFC Tonight. UFC 196 takes place in Las Vegas and is headlined by a heavyweight title rematch between Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez.
St. Preux is coming off a third-round submission loss to Glover Teixeira at UFC Fight Night in Nashville this past August. Prior to that, St. Preux had won six of his first seven Octagon appearances, including notable triumphs over Patrick Cummins and Mauricio Rua.
Cavalcante has lost three of four since his UFC debut in 2013. Most recently, “Feijao” suffered a third-round technical knockout defeat to Cummins at UFC 190. The 35-year-old Brazilian has finished all 12 of his career victories inside the distance, including 11 via KO or TKO.
