A clash between flyweight prospects has been added to the UFC 196 bill, as Ray Borg will face Justin Scoggins in Las Vegas.
Promotion officials announced the matchup on Thursday evening. UFC 196 takes place on Feb. 6 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and is headlined by a heavyweight title rematch between Fabricio Werdum and Cain Velasquez.
The 22-year-old Borg has won three straight in the Octagon since dropping his short-notice debut to Dustin Ortiz at UFC on Fox 11. During that streak, the FIT-NHB representative has bested Geane Herrera, Chris Kelades and Shane Howell.
Scoggins halted a two-fight skid in his only outing of 2015, as he captured a unanimous verdict over Josh Sampo at UFC 187. The 23-year-old is 3-2 in the Octagon overall since making his promotional debut in 2013.
