Lightweights Dustin Poirier and Bobby Green are set to square off at UFC 199.
Ultimate Fighting Championship officials on Monday announced the three-round contest via DailyNews.com.
Poirier-Green marks the first non-title bout announced for the June 4 card in Los Angeles, which is topped by a middleweight championship rematch pitting Luke Rockhold against Chris Weidman. Featured in the co-main event slot is a bantamweight title duel between old rivals Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber.
Following an 8-3 run in the featherweight division, Poirier returned to 155 pounds in April 2015 and has since rattled off three straight victories, including two by way of knockout. “The Diamond” was last in action on Jan. 2, when he notched a unanimous decision against highly touted Irishman Joseph Duffy.
Injuries have kept Green out of action since November 2014, when he suffered his first UFC defeat in a three-round decision loss to Edson Barboza. The former King of the Cage champion last year withdrew from bouts against Jorge Masvidal and Al Iaquinta.
